I'm a software engineer by trade, so I like to tinker. I fell in love with our great local roaster Speckled Axe and wanted to see if I could achieve something similar at home on a budget. After tons of experimentation, I came up with a process using a cheap kinetic energy rotisserie in a conventional oven. The results were good. Good enough that I decided it might be worth sharing. You'll see below the results are still a bit uneven compared to a true commercial roasting operation. If you are averse to a bit of funkiness, then definitely hit up Speckled Axe! They are truly the best.
